Laminar Air Flow
A Laminar Air Flow refers to the airflow system in which the filtered air through the HEPA filter moves within a definite space at uniform velocity and direction. It has filtered air moving along separate parallel flow planes to surgical theaters, patient rooms, nurseries, bacteriology work areas, or food preparation areas. Laminar flow is defined as airflow in which the entire body of air within a designated space is uniform in both velocity and direction. It is a flow regime characterized by high momentum diffusion and low momentum convection. The Laminar Air Flow is very efficient and useful.
